The Art of Principled Decision-making

The Art of Principled Decision-making

The next Risk Coalition ‘Risk Matters’ virtual roundtable will take place on Friday 6th November from 09.00am to10.30am (UK). The topic is: “How to apply an ethical decision-making framework to a moral risk conundrum”.

An interactive webinar with Professor Roger Steare FRSA, The Corporate Philosopher.  Roger will share how to use a simple ethical framework that distils thousands of years of philosophical, scientific, and spiritual wisdom into three everyday "voices" that govern how we live and work: The Three Voices of Decision-Making

Love asks: How might people be helped or harmed by what we decide? It is the voice of compassion, empathy, and warm relationships

Logic asks: What are the facts, what are we assuming, and what are the likely outcomes? It is our capacity for critical thinking, practical wisdom, and reasoning

Law asks: What are the rules, what did we promise, and are we being fair? It is our accumulated moral wisdom representing shared norms and fair social order.

NB Participants in the webinar will be asked to complete their own MoralDNA Profile before joining the webinar.  It only takes a few minutes and will provide valuable background to the discussion. Click here or when registering:  https://moraldna.org/

This Risk Coalition ‘Risk Matters’ virtual roundtable is aimed at risk-focused non-executive directors and senior risk professionals. It will challenge the way decisions are often taken before due consideration has been given to the impact on all who may be affected and the potential unintended consequences.
